FJÄLLRÄVEN KÅNKEN DUFFEL BAG
2022 Junior Softgoods Project - CSULB Industrial Design Program
Softwares: Fusion 360, Keyshot, Sketchbook Pro
Time Frame: 2 weeks (Deadline: December 5th, 2022)
Professor: David Hedden
This project involved designing and modeling a soft goods product in Fusion 360 as an extension of an existing brand’s line.
For this concept, I chose Fjällräven and developed a new addition to their duffel bag collection.
EXISTING PRODUCTS
After analyzing Fjällräven’s product line, I decided to focus on duffel bags, while still generating concepts for other bag types.
SKETCHES + MATERIALS
My final sketch concept is an addition to Fjällräven’s iconic Kånken line; the boxy shape, thick polypropylene webbing straps, and front pocket all match the Kånken brand language.
In addition, this bag can be worn as a backpack if needed and features a wrap around zipper which allows for better storage access.
Materials to be used: Vinylon F for main Body
Polyproplene Webbing for Straps & Handles
